Hey all, I’m Simba’s second mom,

Simba is our beloved family dog and has been with my honorary family for seven wonderful years. His vibrant, gentle spirit and love for meeting new people, especially children, has always brought joy to our lives. They rescued him from a run down pet store when he was a baby, and since then, he has truly become an irreplaceable part of our family and one of the greatest treasures in our lives. Simba's excitement for even the smallest of treats brightens our day, and his eagerness to see us come home is unmatched. You don’t know love until you have a companion like Simba and it hurts to see him in so much pain.

Unfortunately, Simba is in pain due to a severe ear infection that has diminished his hearing and is progressively worsening. He has so much inflamed tissue in his ear we can’t even find his ear canal anymore. It’s been an ongoing struggle since 2022 but it’s come to a head this summer. It’s due to severe allergies so the recommendation is a total ear canal ablation (TECA) to remove his ear canal. Our hope is to alleviate his pain and prevent further infections and give him a better, more joyful life going forward. This surgery will significantly improve his quality of life, eliminating the need for ear medications that aren’t working anymore, and allowing him to enjoy life without discomfort.

We are reaching out for support to help cover the costs of Simba's surgery. Your generosity will ensure that Simba can continue to be the joyful, loving boy he has always been. We can't imagine our lives without him or seeing him suffer, and with your help, we hope to see him healthy and happy once again. The funds will help cover the surgery which can be between $4,800 to $5,300 depending on resources used. We can cover the CT but with both CT and surgery, we’re in a tight spot.
