Help Simba Heal – My Angel Needs Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
My name is Susan, and I’m writing this with a heart full of fear and hope. My sweet boy Simba — my son, my snuggle bug , my angel, my whole world — is in urgent need of your help.
Simba has PICA. He chews a lot of things he shouldn’t and I have taken extra precautions to ensure his safety since having him. Unfortunately, we recently had guests over and Simba got a hold of the birthday girl’s balloons. He swallowed a 10-inch part of 2 balloon strings. One has passed but one is now wrapping around his intestine. It can cause serious internal damage, and now he needs emergency surgery to survive. The vets are doing everything they can, but the cost of the surgery, hospitalization, and post-op care is just a bit more than I can handle alone so soon after tax season.
Simba isn’t “just a pet.” He’s my family, my son, my comfort on hard days (for those who know me, they know I’ve had many lately), the reason I smile even when life gets heavy and the reason I know I’ve got to keep going no matter what. To most who meet Simba, he is a spicy Cheeto. But to his mama, he’s the most gentle, loving little man, and has the kindest soul. The thought of losing him just because I can’t afford this is breaking me.
A lot of you have offered to financially contribute or asked how you can help. If you can find it in your heart to help — whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this page — it would mean everything. Every dollar goes directly to Simba’s surgery and recovery. Any extra would be donated to help other animals in precarious situations like this.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and for caring about my sweet baby boy. Although Simba says he would do it again SIGH, I just want to bring Simba home safe, healthy, and with many more years of life and love ahead of him.
With love and endless gratitude,
Susan & Simba
