Simba came into my life in the most unexpected, beautiful way. I was just walking through my neighborhood in Brooklyn one day and saw the animal adoption center and decided to go inside. That’s where I met him. He walked right up to me like he already knew me, like he had chosen me…and in that moment, I knew he was coming home with me.
Bringing Simba into my life was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He was the sweetest, most affectionate soul…so full of love and cuddles. He always wanted to be close, always ready to give kisses or gently knead with his tiny paws. He had this way of making you feel like you were his whole world.
Everyone who met him couldn’t believe his age because he still had the face of young cat. And he was so well-behaved…never aggressive, never harmful..Just pure kindness. He was truly one of a kind.
When Simba got sick, he fought so hard. I did everything I could to help him, and he showed so much strength through it all. But in the end, he was tired of fighting. My sweet boy passed away peacefully in my arms.
Simba wasn’t just a pet…he was family. He was there for me through everything, and he brought comfort not only to me but to my mom as well. The love he gave was unconditional, the kind you carry with you forever. I am going to miss how Simba would always wait for me to come home and greet me at the stairs once I arrived.
My heart feels so shattered knowing he’s no longer by my side. There’s an emptiness I can’t quite put into words. But I find peace in believing he’s somewhere better, surrounded by love. My grandma and Chase are with him, taking care of my little boy until the day we meet again.
I’ll miss you and love you forever, Simba. R.I.P️❤️
Pets love with a purity that is rare and beautiful. They ask for so little, yet give so much unconditional love, loyalty, comfort, and a kind of companionship that can never be replaced. They never betray you, never judge you, and are always there when you need them most. Their love is honest, constant, and full of trust. Pets will always be better than humans in countless ways…there is no better love than that of a pet. 2/4/13-4/22/26
Hi, my name is Vanessa, and I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this. My cat, Simba, is not just a pet…he’s my comfort, my companion, and my family. Recently, my world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with FIP, a devastating and life-threatening illness. Watching him struggle to breathe was one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life. I had to rush him in for an emergency procedure to drain fluid from his chest just so he could breathe again. That visit alone was a huge expense…and it’s only the beginning. He still needs ongoing treatment to have a chance at surviving.
At the same time, I’ve been dealing with having lost my job. I’ve been applying everywhere, trying to stay strong, but everything has been hitting at once. I’m doing everything I can to fight for him, but I can’t do this alone anymore. Simba depends on me, and right now, I’m asking for help so I don’t fail him. If you’re able to donate, share, or even just keep us in your thoughts, it would mean more than I can put into words. Every single bit of support brings Simba one step closer to getting the care he desperately needs. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping us hold onto hope.
