HELP SIMBA DIBINGA MAKE HIS MOVIE TACKLING MENTAL HEALTH
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Simba Dibinga and I’m an Independent Filmmaker from Boston, Massachusetts. I’m here to raise funds for the full length version of a short film I made recently that I’ve attached to this campaign. It’s a reimagining of the classic film “MEET JOHN DOE”.
The logline of this film is “A tormented senator-elect and a struggling waitress form an unlikely bond that leads them to confront their deepest fears and darkest secrets, culminating in a desperate struggle for redemption and hope.”
It’s a comparable cross between the original “MEET JOHN DOE”, “LOVE JONES” and “LA LA LAND”.
My goal for this project is to encourage people with mental health and or addiction struggles to seek help. Storytelling is one of the most transformative mediums in the world and the ability to help others with our stories is a blessing that I don’t take for granted.
The Romantic aspect of this Drama is the applesauce with which you can drop the pill of mental illness in. This film demonstrates the many aspects of mental health and addiction and is a story of hope and perseverance.
