The following are two images of two tubes that have been connected to her heart for her therapies. Las siguientes son dos imágenes de dos tubos que se han conectado a su corazón para sus terapias.
My family and I are reaching out to you through this page to help us fight for my sister, Silvia. With your help and prayers we know she will beat Leukemia.
Silvia is 29 years old. She is a mother to two children: one of 7 years of age and the other of 2 years of age. Her children are her everything. She is so warm- hearted. She always puts others before her. She is the most loving, beautiful, and gentle woman. She has 5 brothers and 6 sisters. Her father and mother live in El Salvador. We are all staying positive to push her through this battle. We know she will make it. She will make it for her children, her parents, and all her siblings.
A week before she was diagnosed, she was feeling unwell. She would get non-stop headaches, feel dizzy, nausea, and her whole body would fall asleep. It got so bad that she asked to be taken to the emergency room. From the emergency room, she was transferred to another hospital that same night. She was told that she had to be seen by a specialist. On August 6th, 2020 her life as well as myself and her siblings changed. She was diagnosed with Leukemia Acute Lymphoblastic. When she was diagnosed, she was told that she would have to be interned for a month (30 days). Within that month, she would receive her chemotherapy and blood transfusion.
Due to the chemotherapy, her blood sugar level is around 516. The steroids in her medicine boost her levels up. With the pandemic, it is harder to help our sister overcome this battle. Hospitals have restrictions so she is not able to see her whole entire world, her two sons. All her siblings want to push her to overcome this but we are so limited to do so.
One of the challenges she has faced at this moment is that she has no insurance. She has to pay her medicine out of her own pocket. Being interned into a hospital means that she cannot work. Her siblings and I can only help her so much. Sadly, she has to continue to pay her bills which includes her food, her sons care, etc.
With prayer and high hopes we know she will overcome this. We have faith that she will come home free from her diagnosis. She will be able to spend unlimited time with her two beautiful sons and reunite with her parents, as well.
We ask for your help as we all know that these therapies cost is super high as well as her daily medication. We ask that from the bottom of your heart you can donate even the smallest amount. Anything you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated and will help my sister overcome this battle and help lift some weight and worries off her shoulders.

Ella es la mujer más cariñosa, hermosa y gentil. Tiene 5 hermanos y 6 hermanas. Su padre y su madre viven en El Salvador. Todos nos mantenemos positivos para ayudarla a superar esta batalla. Sabemos que lo logrará con nuestro ayuda y apoyo. Lo hará para sus hijos, sus padres y todos sus hermanos.
Una semana antes de que le diagnosticaran, se sentía mal. Le daban dolores de cabeza sin parar, se mareaba, tenía náuseas y todo su cuerpo se quedaba dormido. Se puso tan mal que pidió que la llevaran a la sala de emergencias. Desde la sala de emergencias, fue trasladada a otro hospital esa misma noche. Le dijeron que tenía que ser atendida por un especialista. El 6 de agosto de 2020, su vida, la mía y la de sus hermanos cambiaron. Le diagnosticaron con Leucemia Linfoblástica aguda (Cancer en la sangre). Cuando le diagnosticaron, le dijeron que tendría que estar internada durante un mes (30 días). Dentro de ese mes, recibiría su quimioterapia y transfusión de sangre.
Debido a la quimioterapia, su nivel de azúcar en sangre es de alrededor de 516. Los esteroides en su medicamento aumentan sus niveles. Con la pandemia, es más difícil ayudar a nuestra hermana a superar esta batalla. Los hospitales tienen restricciones por lo que no puede ver a sus dos hijos. Todos sus hermanos quieren presionarla para que supere esto, pero estamos muy limitados para hacerlo.
Uno de los desafíos que ha enfrentado en este momento es que no tiene seguro. Tiene que pagar la medicina de su propio bolsillo. Estar internada en un hospital significa que no puede trabajar. Sus hermanos y yo solo podemos ayudarla hasta cierto punto. Tiene que seguir pagando sus facturas y sus medicinas. También se incluye, su rente, el cuide de sus niños, la comida, etc.
Con oración y grandes esperanzas sabemos que ella superará esto. Tenemos fe en que volverá a casa libre de su diagnóstico. Podrá pasar tiempo ilimitado con sus dos hermosos hijos y también reunirse con sus padres.
Pedimos su ayuda ya que todos sabemos que el costo de estas terapias es muy alto, al igual que su medicación diaria. Le pedimos que desde el fondo de su corazón pueda donar incluso la cantidad más pequeña. Todo lo que pueda donar será muy apreciado y ayudará a mi hermana a superar esta batalla y a quitar algo de peso y preocupaciones de sus hombros.
