Hello, I'd like to introduce myself as Violeta Delgado Arias, one of Silvia Arias' daughters. I would like to share her story here and help spread awareness and hopefully gain some contribution for her situation. I have witnessed the good and bad experiences my mother has gone through, encountering both kind and harmful people along the way. However, the situation she is currently facing seems to be one of the most difficult. You see my mother is a strong, loving, hardworking woman who is fearless, intelligent, beautiful, and has a fantastic personality.
She works tirelessly with concrete trucks, excelling in a male-dominated industry. Despite being a petite Mexican woman, she juggles her roles as a single mother, sister, daughter, and friend effortlessly. Currently, my mother is working in a different state where she accepted a job offer from an old friend and had lived with him due to financial struggles. However, this friend turned out to be manipulative and abusive. Despite my mother's hard work and efforts to provide for us, this friend was not satisfied and resorted to physical violence while intoxicated. In some instances, my siblings heard these incidents, prompting my mother to send them back to live with my grandmother in another state. Unfortunately there was only so little that my grandmother could do, in the end she couldn’t take care of my three younger siblings. They had to resort moving back in with my mother, who eventually got her own apartment. However, “the friend”, who is over six feet tall and weighs over two hundred pounds, would often show up unannounced to my mother’s job site. My mother, who is barely five foot one, was constantly outnumbered. Yet my mother constantly believed he’ll change. Giving him too many chances to better himself, yet never did. Recently, on Thanksgiving morning, the ex-friend, who was intoxicated as usual, Had snooped through my mother’s phone in the night before. This friend had a habit of not allowing my mom to have any privacy, and constantly twisted any simple conversation with her co-workers to flirting. With my mother knowing, she made my siblings rush back to their truck as he then turned into a violent monster and started brutally attacking my mom, throwing her against walls and smashing a chair on her beating her down, even such as attempting to hit her with a shovel. In the midst of the chaos, he went to grab his gun, giving my mom the opportunity to escape. After such, my mom called the police when returning to the truck. The police arrived yet did little to the situation. My mother as of now, had gained two broken ribs, a busted lip, alongside many bruises across her body. Currently, my mom is still recovering from her injuries. She’s filed a restraining order and brought him to court which is still in the process. My mother, who is still working despite having broken ribs, is struggling to make ends meet with her being the only source of providing money for her and her kids. Our family is in dire need of assistance as my younger siblings and her want to return home, and I am eager to support my mother in any way I can. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I urge those facing similar situations to reach out for help. You are not weak or pitiful - you are strong, loved, and someone will always be there to support you. Have an amazing blessed day.
