There are moments in life that don’t feel real, moments where everything changes in an instant. This is one of those moments for our sweet Silver.

Silver isn’t just a friend, she is a mother, a daughter, a teacher, and a light in so many lives. The kind of person who shows up for everyone else, no questions asked. The one who pours into her students, loves her children fiercely, and carries more strength than most people will ever understand.

And now, Silver is facing the fight of her life.

Silver was diagnosed over a year ago with Amyloidosis, a rare and serious disease. As if that wasn’t devastating enough, she has also been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Two life-threatening diagnoses at the same time. She has been fighting this battle in silence, not wanting to “bother” anyone. However, things are progressing and her only chance is an IMMEDIATE stem cell transplant.

This means months of aggressive treatment. Months away from her classroom. Months where she cannot work, cannot earn income, and must focus solely on surviving.

Silver is a single mom of three beautiful children. Everything she does is for them. But right now, she is being forced to step away from providing, while still trying to hold on to hope, strength, and faith.

She is taking FMLA, which unfortunately provides no income. No paycheck. No safety net.

The truth is she doesn’t want to ask for help. If you know Silver, you know that asking for anything is the last thing she would ever do.

But this is bigger than pride. This is about life!

We are asking you to stand with her. To lift her up during the hardest battle she has ever faced. We need for Silver to focus on fighting and healing. So it is time to ask for help. We know so many people in this community love her and want to help. So we are setting up this GoFundMe to help however she needs.
