Help Silo Get Eye Surgery for his Glaucoma!
Donation protected
My name is Cas. If you know me, you know I love my cat, Silo. If you know Silo, you love him. I adopted Silo in 2020 from APA (he was caught while trying to steal food out of a trap meant for a troublesome raccoon), and he has proven to be the best cat in the world. He is an affectionate cuddler, a gorgeous loudmouth, an ingenious schemer, and, as of recently, a sick boy.
Silo's left eye has glaucoma, and, while they don't yet know the cause, his veterinary ophthalmologist has determined that it is safest for Silo to lose the eye. The surgery itself is quick and easy, and as a one-eyed cat, Silo can keep on living his incredible life with small adjustments. However, enucleation is expensive- $2,200 as a low estimate ($1900-2100 for the surgery, $300 additional for a histopathology to make sure there is no cancer or other disease behind the eye), and the doctor wants it done within a month- by the end of June at least.
I would do anything for my sweet boy, but work has been slow recently and I am saving to move across the country in August- times are tough! Plainly put, I need a little help! If you can help us out by donating or sharing, it would mean the world.
