Sifu Jai is a legendary kung fu teacher and Taoist mystic whose life has been dedicated to sharing martial arts and spiritual wisdom with countless students. For decades, he has inspired and guided people from all walks of life, building a unique community around his temple, Ma Jou Miu.
Unfortunately, since the community center where he lived was evicted in 2002—a story featured in the documentary "The Tao of 9 Second Ave"—Sifu Jai has not had a permanent home for his temple or himself. Despite these hardships, he has continued to teach and support others, embodying resilience and compassion.
Now, as Sifu Jai grows older, the need for stability has become urgent. He dreams of establishing a new, permanent site for Ma Jou Miu, where he can continue his teachings and preserve the temple’s legacy for future generations. The funds raised will help secure a lasting home for the temple and provide Sifu Jai with a safe place to live. Your support will not only honor his lifetime of service but also ensure that his wisdom and community can thrive for years to come.
Please join us in supporting Sifu Jai during this pivotal moment. Every contribution helps bring him closer to a secure future and keeps the spirit of Ma Jou Miu alive. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
