My name is Sierra. My siblings and I hate to turn to making an account, but our mom needs it more than ever. Our mom Laura Lewis (Pies) has always suffered from severe back pain for years. Within the past couple months her pain has gotten worse. She went to the doctors for a lumbar spine MRI. There was a spot on her spine that concerned the doctors and it was suspected as cancer. A STAT MRI happened 24 hours after the first MRI. The second MRI showed a cyst instead of a tumor on her spine. Since then mom has started to experience tremors, jerking motions, numbness, and tingling. Due to her symptoms and pain she was unable to take care of her patients at work properly. Mom was terrified of hurting her patients and herself. She requested a leave of absence from her job so she could get answers for her health. She managed to get the leave of absence, but did not qualify for FMLA. She was able to get short term disability, but was at risk of losing her position at work. Mom is to the point she can barely walk. Her knees shake badly when she stands. We think she will fall anytime she gets up and it terrifies us. She is scheduled for more MRIs on 12/7 and 12/8 for the rest of her spine. They are checking for MS. We see our mom struggling everyday. We are asking if anyone could donate to help with bills.
