Help Sierra Study Photography in Japan

Hi, family, friends, and community!
My name is Sierra Miller, and I’m a junior at Columbia College Chicago pursuing my BFA in Photography. I’m incredibly excited to share that I’ve been accepted into a two-week academic program in Japan this summer, from May 26th to June 10th!
This opportunity means the world to me. In 2019, I participated in a cultural exchange program in China, where I lived with a host family for a week, which opened my eyes to life outside the U.S. Last spring, I studied abroad in Manchester, England, and continued growing both as an artist and a person. These experiences have deeply shaped how I see the world and my place in it—not just as a student but as a storyteller through photography.
This upcoming trip to Japan will allow me to expand my artistic practice further, immerse myself in a new culture, and engage with global perspectives that I hope to reflect in my creative work. This kind of international academic experience is truly special, but it does come with some financial responsibility, and I’m reaching out for a little help covering the expenses to make it happen.
Any amount—big or small—truly helps me get one step closer to making this journey a reality. Whether you can donate, share this link, or just send some good energy my way, I appreciate you more than you know.

Thank you so much for supporting my dreams and helping me grow into the artist I’m meant to be.
With love,
