Hello,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a request to help my brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Jessica Thompson. Recently, their daughter Sierah faced a severe mental health crisis and they need to raise funds to cover her medical costs, including her upcoming brain surgery.

Sierah has always been a loving, caring person, with a huge smile on her face. She sees the person in the corner of the room and makes sure that they feel seen and important. She’s touched so many lives with her warmth and generosity. Over the years she has worked as a caregiver for the elderly, a house cleaner, and eventually started her own cleaning business. However, like many, she struggled in silence with overwhelming mental health challenges. Sadly, on July 13th Sierah attempted to take her own life, that has left her with many mental and physical impairments. It is a true miracle that she not only survived, but that she is able to walk and talk. While our family is beyond grateful and blessed with this miracle, the road to recovery is long and extensive.

Right now, Sierah has been released from the hospital and prayerfully has been placed back home with Matt and Jessica.

The next steps in her journey include a brain surgery where doctors will implant her custom prosthetic skull piece, psychiatric rehabilitation, therapy, and ongoing medical treatment. Sierah has a positive outlook despite these challenges and the first thing she wanted to do was start attending Sunday church services with her family.

These treatments are vital for her recovery and survival but also comes with significant financial burdens for the Thompsons. Please help Matt and Jessica continue to pay and support this new path for Sierah as we move into a new normal for our family and find peace and healing.
