Help Sienna Compete at National Beta Convention
Donation protected
My name is Sienna McGlathery. I am a 5th-grade student at Springfield Ball Charter School. I love to be creative and love art. I have recently become interested in photography and am learning as much about it as I can. I enjoy giving back to the community as well, and one way I do this is through my Beta Club at my school. We do community service throughout the year and then have an opportunity to participate in different events to demonstrate our talents and hard work.
This year, I participated in the Black and White photography event as an individual, along with being a team member on our Robotics and Engineering teams. We get to compete with other Beta Clubs from all over the state to determine if we can get the opportunity to represent our state at the National Beta Convention. I was honored to have my photograph chosen as the 1st place winner in the Black and White Photography competition, along with placing with my team in 1st place in Engineering and 2nd place in Robotics. All three of these events qualified us for the National Convention being held in Orlando, Florida, in late June of this year.
I am so excited to represent the state of Illinois and see how my photography and our engineering and robotics teams compete with the rest of the nation at the National Competition. Our school is unable to help out with this trip financially, and obviously, this trip is quite expensive when you include travel and room and board all the way to Orlando.
I am asking that if you are able to help, you consider helping me achieve this opportunity, so that I can participate in this convention. I think it would be a great experience for me, and I would LOVE the opportunity to represent the state of Illinois at this convention. Any and all donations mean the world to us and will help me have a better chance of getting to participate in this experience. Thank you, everyone.
