Hi, my name is Jess and I’m raising funds to help my daughter, Sienna, access specialist medical care at Melbourne Children’s Hospital.
Sienna has a complex and ongoing medical history, including failure to thrive, feeding intolerance, recurrent metabolic disturbances, and neurological symptoms. Despite extensive investigations, hospital admissions, and specialist involvement, she remains undiagnosed and continues to experience periods of clinical deterioration.
Unfortunately, where we live there is no local access to paediatric metabolic specialists, and outpatient care has not been sufficient to stabilise her or determine the underlying cause of her symptoms. At this point, further waiting places her health at risk.
Melbourne Children’s Hospital has multidisciplinary teams experienced in complex and undiagnosed paediatric cases. Getting Sienna there would allow for coordinated evaluation across metabolic, gastrointestinal, and neurological specialties as that care is not available to us locally.
Funds raised will help cover:
• Travel between Canberra and Melbourne
• Accommodation close to the hospital
• Transport and parking
• Medical and feeding supplies
• Out of pocket specialist expenses
• Loss of income while caring for Sienna during admissions
This is not an easy ask, but we are doing everything we can to advocate for our child and access the care she needs.
Any support, whether through donating or sharing, is deeply appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting our family during this journey.
