Sidney has always been someone who brings people together—through theater, friendship, and his generous spirit. He’s kind, funny, and deeply loyal, and brightens the lives of all who know him. Recently, he is going through one of the hardest chapters of his life and is in need of our support.

Sidney has end-stage kidney disease and has been on dialysis for the past four years. Earlier this spring, he developed sepsis and extremely low blood pressure, which exacerbated serious complications with his heart. After a couple long hospital stays, he now has a pacemaker and is continuing dialysis as he works on recovering.

On top of that, Sidney recently lost his job after using all of his medical leave. Sidney currently has no income and is still responsible for living expenses like food, transportation to dialysis, medications, and other essentials. He will also need to move later this year, so is preparing for moving-related expenses. He’s working on applying for disability benefits, but that process takes time.

This fundraiser is to help Sidney cover basic expenses and give him some stability while he focuses on healing and getting back on his feet. Any contribution you can make—big or small—will make a real difference. Sharing this page helps too.
