Hey All,

as some of you have heard on Monday July 5th, I was hit by a car while I was out riding my bike. I didn’t break any bones but my foot was unfortunately pinned underneath the tire. As a result, I got a very deep cut that exposed my joint, tendons and nerves on my left ankle. Miraculously, all the vital parts were missed so no motor-loss but the primary concern was infection and getting it covered up.

I have undergone 2 surgeries during my 2 week hospital stay. The last one was a pretty major surgery and it involved getting a skin flap from my thigh to cover up the wound on my ankle. The doctors were able to transfer skin and a blood vessel down to my ankle to give it the best chance at healing and making a full recovery.

I cannot bear any weight on my foot for a few weeks which means I’ll need some help to get me by these coming days. I am asking for help to cover some of the costs of needing medical supplies (walker, crutches, boot, medical shower chair), food (I’m going to rely on ubereats or home cooked meals), bills and helping my mom out with paying her bills as she’s taking unpaid time off work to be with me these coming days.

Any leftover money after the costs are covered will be donated to a non-profit organization.
