I honestly don’t even know where to start with this. I guess I’ll start by thanking you for even clicking the link, I appreciate that. Then I guess I’ll follow up by saying doing something like starting a go fund me is beyond out of my comfort zone, but honestly so is my current situation. My name Is Dante Jones, the homies call me Hanzo, my family calls me Tay. I was born with sickle cell beta thalassemia, a life altering disease that has inconvenienced my life in more ways than I can count. Right now it’s hitting me harder than it ever has, since March of 2021 I have been hospitalized give or take a week. I have been out of work since this time and my income as it stands is non existent. Before this major setback I was planning on moving out of my current living situation and into a place of my own and was saving at a decent clip. As you can imagine these hospitalizations and visits to the doctor along with prescriptions have been costly. And just like that I’m back to square one, laying in a hospital bed wondering what’s next for me when I recover. Regaining my independence means so damn much to me, from working jobs through sickle cell pain daily to being laid off due to Covid then being blessed with an even better job to being sidelined by this current crisis I know I can get through this as well, especially with your help. I have been coming at this sickle cell crisis head on with everything I got doing my best to not let it take me under, I was in the icu for days, I’ve had 13+ blood transfusions since March. I have yet to give up and I don’t plan on doing so anytime soon. To hell with that I’ve been to strong for to long and have way to many people in my corner rooting for me.
