Shukrya and her daughters fled Afghanistan and entered the US as refugees (a US government program), but the Department of Immigration and Naturalization has failed to provide the work authorization to which she is entitled. To make a bad situation worse, her food benefits were just cut off without warning. We are raising funds so she will have a mattress to sleep on, and food for her children.
