Hello, my name is Ashmita Gyawali, and I am raising funds for my younger brother, Shubham (16 years old). Watching him suffer has been the most painful experience of my life.
Shubham was a healthy, happy teenager until a few months ago when he began having repeated fevers, weakness, and dangerously low blood counts. After many hospital visits, painful tests, and long nights of worry, we finally received devastating news.
Shubham has been diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), Familial Type 3, a rare and life-threatening genetic disorder. His DNA test confirmed a pathogenic mutation in the UNC13D gene, which means his immune system attacks his own body. He now requires urgent and advanced treatment, and the only cure is a bone marrow transplant.
Why We Need Help
The treatment is extremely expensive and far beyond what our family can afford. Doctors have told us the cost could reach ₹40–50 lakhs ($50,000–60,000 USD) for the transplant and post-treatment care. We have already spent everything we had on tests, hospital stays, and medicines.
Right now, Shubham is admitted in the hospital, fighting bravely every single day. As his sister, it breaks my heart to see him in pain, hooked to machines, when he should be enjoying his teenage years.
How You Can Help
We humbly ask for your support to help save Shubham’s life. Your kind donation will go toward:
- Hospitalization and ongoing treatments
- Chemotherapy and immunosuppressive medicines
- The bone marrow transplant procedure
- Recovery and long-term follow-up care
No amount is too small. Each donation brings us closer to giving Shubham a chance to live the life he deserves.
From My Heart
I love my brother more than words can say, and I cannot imagine losing him at just 16. With your help, Shubham can fight this battle and win. Please donate whatever you can and share his story with your friends and networks.
Your kindness can give my brother the gift of life..
With gratitude,
Ashmita Gyawali
(On behalf of my brother, Shubham, and our family)
