~ Honoring Jerome and Supporting Paula and Their Family in a Time of Loss ~

After 34 years of deep love and partnership, Paula is now facing the unimaginable — the sudden and tragic loss of her beloved husband, Jerome.

Together, Paula and Jerome built a life centered around family, faith, hard work, and community. Their home has always been a place where family, friends, friends of friends, and children are welcomed with open arms and full hearts. Paula is the friend who shows up in big ways at hard times. She is fiercely loyal and continues showing, never giving up. It's our turn to show up for her now.

Jerome, too, was loyal to his principles and the people he loved. He believed in helping others without drawing attention. There was no gift of time or talent that was too big for Jerome and he gave of himself generously and effortlessly. There was always room at his table for one more guest (or one more bonus kid) and all were treated like chosen family. Jerome brought warmth, wisdom and radical acceptance to every relationship he had. He was a humble, grace-centered and cheerful man who enjoyed, above all else, spending time with his wife, kids and grandchildren and providing for them. His absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him!

As Paula and her family grieve this tremendous loss, they are also faced with the unexpected financial burden that comes with it — including burial expenses and the sudden and long-term loss of household income. While Paula is strong and resourceful, the transition ahead will be challenging, and she'll need her community beside her.
