HELP SHOULDER THE BURDEN BY GIVING A HAND

Hi, this is Tim and I am asking your help in my ‘go fund page’ fund raiser. Two weeks ago, my son in law, Jeff Autrey was sitting in a lane of traffic that was stopped on Carmel Road, in Charlotte. While looking into his rearview mirror, he realized that the pickup truck that was coming towards him was not slowing down. He had his seat belt on, so putting all the pressure he could on the brake pedal, he braced for impact. He even pulled up the hand brakes. The truck hit him without slowing down, never hitting the brakes. The driver had his foot on the gas pedal so hard that after impact, he hit Jeff again. {This man was driving an uninsured work vehicle.} As a result, Jeff had 3 vertebrae to fracture, resulting in surgery on his back to fuse T4, T5, and T6. He has at least a 10 inch incision in his back.
This is going to require him to be out of work for about 6 months. Since the accident was not work related for him, it is not a worker’s comp case, and there is no insurance written to cover the loss of income. There are going to be medical expenses, not covered by insurance, and loss of income due to not being physically able to work. The house payment, insurance, car payment, cost of a car to replace the one totaled, and general living expenses, all go on whether you have income or not. There is no way that they can live on Mauri’s income alone. This means, they will need help.
I wish that I was financially able to step up, (you feel like you should be able to help your children who find themselves in an emergency situation,), but that is not the case. So, as a father, I am doing what I feel like I should do, and that is to intercede on their behalf. I am asking that you who are friends, or anyone who would even consider helping during this time of financial crisis, please contribute to this effort.
If you feel that this is a worth while need, would you please share this on your various social media accounts? The more it is out there, the more people will see it and possibly be impressed to help with this need.
