Help Shotwell's Build an Excellent Bar-klet!

The last year has been a challenging one for everyone in San Francisco. However, we’ve been continually surprised by how our community has banded together in new and surprising ways to help everyone through these challenging times. At Shotwell's, we’ve been adapting to the new normal along with everyone else, by creating socially distanced outdoor seating using upcycled materials to create a great outdoor environment for our patrons to enjoy.
Last week, the City of San Francisco approved Shotwell's to have a parklet on the West side of the bar across from Ginger Rubio. This permits us to build a community Parklet where patrons and neighbors alike can enjoy the sun, fresh air, and ambiance of Shotwell Street. This permit allows us to replace car parking with community space for 2 full years.
We’re raising money to fund a community parklet where patrons and the community alike can enjoy our little corner of San Francisco. We’re raising $20,000 to fund our new Parklet and are asking the community to help chip in if they enjoyed the outdoor version of Shotwell's during the pandemic. As we return to normal, let’s take with us some of the few and far between pleasantries of the pandemic.
Our Parklet is locally designed and will operate with hours that are courteous to our neighborhood and community at large. We’ll be including some great plants and shrubs to give it that nature feel, and comfortable seating that makes it a joy to be outdoors.
