Hi folks, Shoshana here! I haven't reached out in the past via GoFundMe but thanks to circumstances, I need to reach out for help now to repair two pieces of very important equipment for me: my wheelchair and my laptop.

For a little while now, I've been having trouble with the brakes on my wheelchair. The brakes on the right wheel will lock up and the chair won't move forward, only make right turns. And while I can look hilarious turning in right-hand circles, this means I have to take in my chair for repair. Having called up a repair center, they said the repair will cost close to $1000 thanks to where the problem is and the need for service and new parts. That is one technical problem.

The other problem is my laptop. As a writer and creator, my laptop is literally the most vital piece of technology to keep me working. Only now there are vertical lines down the center of my screen and my keyboard is acting funny. A call to the Apple Tech Support center says the repair will be nearly $1000 as well due to being outside of warranty. So that brings two tech repairs to a grand total of $2000.

And right now, I've got $200 to my name.

I unfortunately was one of the folks who got laid off last year due to Covid. My unemployment has run out and I am seeking a job, but so far I've found nothing. And without my wheelchair to get around or my laptop to work, it'd be nigh impossible to look for work or even go to the grocery store. So I'm reaching out to all of you out there to ask for help. And really, any little bit helps.
