Hello! My name is Mary and my husband, Jacob, and I are starting this fundraiser to help get medical care for Short Round.

Shorty (his nickname!) has been a beloved member of our family for eight years. Carin (my mother-in-law) adopted him on Super Bowl Sunday back in 2015. He’s always been such a lovable goofball doggie who howls at the drop of a hat, enjoys sunbathing, and loves playing fetch with his tiny toys, but DOES NOT do well with long car rides. He wishes he could since he loves being with his people, but his tummy just can’t take the bumps!

Before coming into our lives, Shorty had a rough (ruff) start to his life. He was thrown from a moving vehicle and suffered a little brain damage before being rescued. How anyone could do that to a little puppy is unimaginable, but he luckily found the perfect forever home with Carin.

Shorty’s love of sunbathing has got him into a little trouble. He’s got a few tumors as a result of his sunbathing and is no longer allowed to enjoy this hobby. He needs surgery to get the tumors removed. Carin needs a little help to afford the surgery and get Shorty the care he needs!
