Help Shokio Attend Princeton's Prestigious Summer Program

Donation protected
Hello all, I'm Promise and I'm reaching out to you on behalf of my brilliant 15-year-old god daughter, Aniya Allen, who prefers to go by Shokio. She has recently been accepted into a highly competitive Pre-Med/Biological Sciences Academy of the 2025 W.E.B. Du Bois Scholars Institute at Princeton University, a life-changing opportunity that will put her one step closer to her dreams of becoming both a writer and a veterinarian.

Despite being just 15, Shokio holds an astounding 5.2 GPA, a testament to her dedication, intellect, and unyielding spirit. She’s a passionate reader, an expressive writer, a thoughtful artist, and most of all—a curious soul who loves animals and learning in every form. This summer program offers advanced academic development and college application support—key tools for someone like her, who dreams of attending top-tier universities like Fordham, Emmanuel College, or Princeton itself.

But we need your help to get her there.

Why This Means So Much

In her own words:

"I want to be in this program because I’ve never stepped outside the box of my education. I feel like I was put on this earth for a reason. I want to prove the little girl who thought she couldn’t make it without a father wrong. I want a chance to be the brightest star I can be—for my mom, my brothers, my non-biological father, my friends, and most importantly, for myself."

Her story is one of resilience, love, and limitless potential. Her mother, Sinclaire, has worked incredibly hard to support her. This opportunity at Princeton is a chance for Shokio to not only explore her passions more deeply but also to prove to herself that the sky is not the limit—only the beginning.

What We Need

Program Cost: $7500

Due Date: First installment of $2,300 is due by May 16, 2025

All funds raised will go directly toward her tuition, travel, and program-related expenses.
