In July of 2024, my big sister, Shirlley, was diagnosed with stage 3 adenocarcinoma (breast cancer). After her mastectomy and endless chemo radiation sessions, it was discovered that the cancer has spread to her lungs, kidney, and most recently, her brain.
Shirlley is the most loving, patient, kind person I've ever met in my life. To everyone who knows her, she has always been a shoulder to cry on and a sympathetic ear. She works hard to help provide for her family -- her beautiful five-year old daughter and her supportive, hard-working husband -- however, after a long battle with cancer, the never-ending treatments, as well as the cancer itself, have ultimately slowed her down.
She no longer has the energy to focus on work, nor should she have to. And, although we continue to hope for a miraculous recovery, my sister deserves to spend quality time with her family without the load of work to weigh her down ever more during these already devastating times.
Shirlley has always been a pillar of strength in our family, supporting and caring for those around her -- but right now she needs us to support and care for her. Every donation, share, and prayer makes a difference. Thank you for being a part of this battle! I will be here praying for you all too!
