I am raising funds on behalf of my friends: Shima & Mustafa Ouda’s family in Palestine.

Before the war in Gaza, Shima was an English teacher and Mustafa was an accountant.

They have three children, Zain is 9 years old, Jad is 6 years old, and Salma is 1 year old.

Their family is now displaced in Deir al-Balah. This is the third displacement their family has faced.

Conditions are currently very difficult for their family. Even the cost for survival, including things like food, basic necessities, and diapers are extremely high.

I have a message from Shima to share:

Hello, my name is Shima. I am 32 years old and married to Mustafa Ouda. I have three children: Zain (nine years old), Jad (six years old), and Salma (one year old).

I used to live a beautiful life in my warm, quiet home with my husband and our children. Our lives were normal, stable, and safe until the beginning of the 7th of October, when we woke up to the sounds of bombing. Then we realized that our lives had been turned upside down. My children felt fear and shock, and we fled from our home due to the severity of the bombing and destruction, and from here the story of displacement began. We could not pack belongings and we left everything behind in our home. With our memories and everything we had, we were displaced to shelter centers that lacked the basic necessities of life: no food, no medicine, and no safety. At that time, my children felt fear, hunger, and severe shock.

A few days later, we received the news of the bombing of our house and its complete destruction. My children began to cry for their home, their rooms, their school supplies, and everything we owned at home. This was one of the most difficult moments.

Now I find myself at a point of desperation, and I urgently and humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, especially my children, by getting us out of Gaza. The situation in Gaza has become untenable due to slow deaths from hunger, dehydration, displacement, the spread of diseases, and the ongoing bombings.

The last several months have been full of hell and horror. This war has lasted too long, and our mental health and lives are constantly in danger. We have reached the point where there is no more hope for us here in Gaza. We are just waiting to die. Even if there is a ceasefire, the destruction in Gaza cannot be quickly repaired.

We are reaching out for your support through donations. Any contribution, big or small, will help us rebuild our lives, ensuring my kids can have the childhood they deserve. Your support is not just financial, it’s a gesture of solidarity and humanity.
