Hi everyone, I’m reaching out for help for my dad’s 10-year-old chocolate lab, Shilo. He has developed 4 large lipomas that now need to be surgically removed because they are affecting his mobility and comfort. Aside from these, Shilo is a healthy, loving dog who still has so much life left in him. This isn’t just about a dog. My dad has struggled with depression for years, and Shilo has been there for him through everything. He gives my dad a reason to get up, go on walks, and keep going even on the hardest days. When I’m not home, Shilo is sometimes his only constant companion. He truly is my dad’s best friend. The cost of the surgery is estimated to be $1,959.25, and although we’ve done everything we can to afford it, we still need help. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. It would not only help save our family dog, but also protect the bond that has helped my dad through some of his toughest moments.
