Hi my name is Tia. I am a dance teacher at Northwest Dance and Acro and am the founder of For The Dancer, a female youth dance ministry.

One of our very own, Shileigh, and her family are going through tough times. And as her community Id like to see if we can help keep Shileigh dancing!

Shileighs mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is currently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. As you can imagine medical bills alone are expensive. Amy is a single mom who, until recently due to her health, worked in her family’s adult care home.

Shileigh is 15 and has danced for 12 years now. As Shileighs coach and mentor I can say that Shileigh works hard, is attentive to detail, and knows how to make me laugh! It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch her grow over the last several years and become the young woman she is today.

Competitive dance can be expensive but for this young girl it is her whole life. When Shileigh grows up she wants to be a dance teacher. I hope to raise enough money to cover their dance tuition for the season.
