Hi, I’m SHESHE, and I’m seeking support to attend the 2026 Summer Cabaret Conference in New York City, June 22nd to 26th. This year marks 10 years since I moved to New York, where I became a featured subway performer with the MTA’s Music Under New York program. I’ve celebrated a commercial still airing regionally, been on Good Morning America, and won at the Apollo stage. My grandmother always told me I was a star when I was a kid, and I’m living that dream now. My work is rooted in my Black Southern upbringing, and every step forward honors that legacy. At this conference, I’ll connect with icons like Faith Prince and Michael Kirk Lane, and grow the skills to take SHESHE’s Pinktastic Cabaret even further. Donations will also help offset missed wages from time taken away from work to rehearse, organize, and produce.
