Family & Friends of Robert Poggione -
After close to a years battle with Stage 4 Cancer, Rob has passed away. He fought like hell for so long with this crappy thing we call cancer and he was so strong through the whole thing. He passed away surrounded by love and family and I can imagine he wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I am incredibly grateful that we were able to spend some time with him in his last few weeks and hope that he knows how much we truly love and cared about him.
Rob is survived by his one and only, Sherry Vallint, his two kids, Taylor and Genna, his sister Heather and of course, the rest of his family and friends. He will forever be missed and will never be forgotten.
If you knew Rob, you know that he was such a funny, caring, outgoing and amazing spirit. He showed us what it was like to have a neighbor become a friend and much more. There really is no one quite like him in this world and we are incredibly sad that he is no longer with us. But we can only hope that he is up there with the Lord, looking down on all of us and most importantly, out of pain. He would want us to celebrate his life and that's what I hope we will all do moving forward.
With that said, I wanted to start this GoFundMe to help cover expenses for Sherry and his family during this difficult time. These funds will go toward helping with memorial/funeral expenses, any last medical bills and anything else that the family may need to get through this. The last thing they should have to worry about is expenses for anything, so please help me in raising money to help with any expenses that they may be undergoing right now.
