Update from Kayla & Family
It is with the heaviest hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, husband, and veteran, Renny. After courageously fighting lung cancer and then enduring the challenges of Crohn’s disease, his body could no longer withstand the complications he faced. On August 25th, 2025 surrounded by love, he entered into rest.
Renny was not only a proud military veteran but also the strongest and most resilient man we knew. He lived his life with courage, humor, and love — and his devotion to his family will always remain in our hearts.
As our family begins to grieve this tremendous loss, we are still faced with bills and everyday expenses that continue to add up. Any support given here will now go toward helping my mom, Sherry, manage these financial burdens as she navigates life without her partner by her side.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for holding our family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Kayla & Family
My dad, Renny, is a proud military veteran who has always shown strength and resilience in the face of challenges. In 2019, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. After bravely fighting through that battle, he was later diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2022. Over the past six months, his Crohn’s has caused severe and ongoing complications that have taken a huge toll on his body.
On August 5th, Renny was admitted to the ICU in septic shock. This has been one of the scariest and most difficult times our family has ever faced.
Through it all, my mom, Sherry, has been by his side. She has taken off work to care for him and support him every step of the way. Unfortunately, this also means she has lost income while medical bills and everyday expenses continue to grow.
We are asking for support to help relieve some of the financial burden during this time. Every donation — no matter the size — will go directly toward helping Sherry cover living expenses, medical costs, and other financial needs while she focuses on being there for Renny.
If you aren’t able to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your prayers. Your kindness, support, and love mean more than words can ever express.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Kayla & Family
