Help Sherry Save Her Home from Electrical Crisis

I'm Sherry. I've lived in my cozy flat 10 years now. I was recently informed that the wiring in the entire building is original from 1946 and must be replaced. Each homeowner is going to be responsible for their own unit. The estimate we got put me at $8000 USD for the wiring work, and then I'll need to have the walls repaired.

My day-to-day financial situation has been shaky for a few years now. I'm just the past couple months I started coming out of a 5+ year depressive episode. The no-showering, never-leaving-the-house kind of depressive episode. Because of those five years my FICO is dirt. I can't get a heloc. I have tried every assistance organization in the Metro and can't get assistance, due in large part to the aforementioned FICO. I have no options left.

I can't sell; first because I don't WANT to sell- it's my fucking *home*. I watched this unit for years waiting for it to go on the market. Second because my FICO is dirt; I'd never get approved for an apartment.

So here I am asking friends and strangers alike to help me save my home. Please share freely. Give what you can.
