Help Sherry Holmes and Daughters in Their Time of Need

Hi everyone-

My name is Terri Greer and this GoFundMe is for my sister Sherry Davis Holmes. I know this is a trying time for a lot of people so I totally understand that when it comes to donating money. So please don’t feel obligated just because you know her.

I’m sure most of my Facebook friends and my sister’s Facebook friends know that her husband passed away in February. It has been very tough on her and their girls especially knowing the battle he fought before and after his double lung transplant just to lose the battle in the end. Sherry has not only struggled with losing him, but she also struggles in what to do. He passed without a Will so everything has to be probated with other obstacle’s in the way also. 

As most know Sherry is out in Utah and has no family there other than her two daughters that are in college. I’ve been trying to help her with her questions and trying to keep her on track as to what I think she should do but her situation is a little different than what I went through with our mom and dad. The oldest daughter took time away from school to help Sherry and to get Scott to the hospital, to appointments, to therapy and also to get Sherry to her appointments.

Sherry has never been able to drive due to her epilepsy. She hasn’t been able to work in years due to her health conditions above the epilepsy. The amount of medications she takes makes her sleepy and fatigued and all that plus the amount of seizures she’s had throughout the years has done a job on her mentally. She wouldn’t be able to hold down a job just due to her memory alone. It’s all taken a toll on her.

So with all that rambling, Sherry is in a really tough spot. She hasn’t had a penny coming in since the beginning of March except for one of her sister in laws who has helped her thankfully but she doesn’t want to have to keep asking her for help if she can help it. She has just now had the money for the probate attorney so there’s no telling how long this could take. If only I could help her other than that! A GoFundMe is the only thing I could think of. If it’s $10 or $100 that you can donate to it, it’ll get them some groceries and anything above that would go towards the house payment, bills, etc.

I will thank anyone ahead of time that is able to give. I know Sherry and the girls would be so thankful. Something like this is never something people think they’d ever have to do but I know they need a roof over their heads and food on the table so this is why I hope by doing this, that it will help.
