Hi everyone my name is Sherry Cyr McPherson. I have just recently been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, (MDS) which is usually called pre leukemia. I financially need help during this difficult time. I have been in and out of the hospital lately and with low blood levels, weakness and spleen pain. So, the hospital decided to do a bone marrow biopsy and that is when I was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). They set me up with a Oncologist that will be overseeing my condition and getting me started on all of my treatments. These treatments will consist of chemotherapy, blood transfusions and a bone marrow transplant. February 1st was my first stay at the hospital. I have not been able to go back to work since, and I can no longer drive. This is Because my symptoms of weakness and dizziness. My body does not make its own blood anymore and I will have to have blood transfusions for the rest of my life to stay alive. I will never be able to go back to work and I will never be able to work ever again. I have worked Soo hard my entire life and have always helped others when they needed it. But, now I need that kind of help in return. This health crisis and diagnosis of MDS came out of no where and me and my family were not ready or prepared for this at all. I financially need a lot of help. Especially with my medical bills and my insurance deductibles.
