If you've ever eaten at El chicos on cedar lane you've probably seen sherry bowlin. She's been there for probably 30+ years. She has a large following and often has a wait for her section. Unfortunately she has recently had some health problems that require surgeries and will most likely cause her to be off from work for a significant amount of time. She has large staghorn kidney stones in both kidneys. Her kidneys are swolen and she has a bad infection so she has a drainage tube. After the infection is better she will have surgery on one kidney. Then after it recovers, she'll have surgery on the second. She does not have any health insurance so this will be extremely costly. It will be exacerbated by not being able to work and earn money during this time. We have eaten there once a week for over 25 years. Always at her table. Always impeccable service. I know she has a lot of loyal customers. If we all contributed a little bit we could help ease her burden. Anything you can give is appreciated.
