Sherrie Heath, a wonderful friend to so many people in our community, needs our help. Sherrie recently underwent a very complex surgery to have a tumor removed from her pancreas. As you may know, 2024 has been a very difficult year for Sherrie. She started off the year with gall bladder surgery with hopes that she would soon feel like herself again. Soon after the surgery, it became apparent that something was still very wrong. After lots of testing, it was determined that Sherrie had a tumor in her pancreas. Sherrie has endured many tests and several bouts of pancreatitis since that diagnosis. In and out of the hospital for several months while missing work has been very stressful for Sherrie and her family.

On the day before Valentine's Day, Sherrie had Whipple Surgery at Hartford Hospital. She was in the hospital for 7 days and made amazing progress - only to come home and have to be transported back to the hospital by ambulance for another two days. Sherrie is home recuperating now but will be out of work for about two months.

Anyone who knows Sherrie knows that she has a huge heart and she is always there to help those in need - whether she is delivering plates of food, cookies, or stopping by to give a hug. It is now our turn to help our sweet friend and relieve some of the financial burden that Sherrie has endured over the past several months and for a few more months to come. Any donation will help and the outpouring of love and messages will help her heal quickly. Sherrie, her family, and her many friends thank everyone for their love and support!
