Help Sherlyn Overcome Post-Transplant Challenges

For anyone who knows us, we are not ones to ask for help and are very private when it comes to personal family matters; however, we are reaching out to ask for help during this very difficult time.

Our niece, Sherlyn, who just turned 12 years old, has been on dialysis for the past 2 years due to complications with her kidneys after discovering they had stopped continuing to grow. One month ago, we FINALLY got the news we had been waiting for, and she received the blessing of a kidney transplant.

Unfortunately, her recovery has been a difficult one. She is currently battling an infection that is attacking her new organ that requires many different treatments and medications in order to help fight this infection as well as assist her body through this process to accept her kidney fully. Her mother is not able to work and cannot leave her daughter’s hospital room due to the risk of further infection to Sherlyn, and no family or friends have been able to visit. Her father is not able to work longer hours due to having to take care of the rest of their family and is currently supporting the entire household on one very small income while medical bills are stacking up. We are asking for help, help to support this beautiful girl full of life and her family while on her journey to recovery.
