Help Sherice and Her Sons Find Safe Housing
Donation protected
For the past 2 years Sherice and her 3 small sons have been subjected to extremely poor living conditions. In July of 2023 black mold was discovered in the walls of her apartment which worsened the health condition of her middle son with NF1 (a multi-system neurocutaneous disorder that cause seizures in some) it took months for them to patch over the KNOWN area of her unit covered in black mold. After requesting to be moved to a more suitable unit she was asked to wait for renovations
Now (April 2025) after again making multiple complaints along with submitting work orders her roof has caved in covering her apartment with debris which could possibly contain poison, asbestos, mold and/or other hazardous material. Sherice informed the office of this incident and was told by office administration that there will be no living accommodations made for her and her 3 small children. Maintenance offered to come the next day leaving her as well as the children occupy the unit.
We’re asking for donations for Sherice and her children to have a clean place to stay and shower (kids are complaining of itching) We don’t know if her complex will provide help with somewhere to stay or how long she and her children will have to be displaced.
