Sheri Khamlong is a dedicated farmer in Mokuleia and Waialua on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, who has always worked hard to grow flowers for lei and fresh vegetables for her community. Recently, her farm was devastated by the second hit of the Kona Low Storm. The storm caused severe damage: eleven dogs and chickens were affected, the hut was cracked, and the container roof collapsed. The land is now soaking wet, making it difficult to tend to the crops and animals, and there is significant damage throughout the farm. She can only get to her farm on foot now since the road is destroyed. She has to walk through 4 farms to get to hers.
Sheri’s livelihood depends on her ability to care for her animals and grow her crops, but the storm has made this nearly impossible. The funds raised will provide immediate support to Sheri. Every contribution will make a real difference in helping Sheri get back on her feet and continue supporting her community with her hard work and dedication.
Mahalo and thank you for any support you can give during this challenging time. Your kindness and generosity will help Sheri rebuild and move forward after this devastating storm.
This GoFundMe was created by the volunteers from Help Maui Rise and will directly benefit Sheri.
