My mother-in-law, Sheri Gray, was beaten in the nursing home we trusted to care for her. Sheri is a loving mother to Thomas, Leanne, and Brooke, and she lost her husband 20 years ago. At just 52 years old, she is living with Alzheimer's and dementia, which makes this traumatic event even more heartbreaking for her and our entire family.

From November until April, my husband Thomas and I took care of Sheri at home, doing everything we could to support her and keep her safe. When her needs became too much for us to manage alone, we made the difficult decision to place her in a nursing home, hoping she would get the care she deserved. Instead, she suffered abuse, and now we are determined to do everything we can to support her recovery and seek justice.

Right now, we are facing attorney fees and court costs as we pursue legal action against those responsible. The financial burden is overwhelming, but we know that holding the nursing home accountable is the right thing to do.
