Hello, my name is C. Dean Simmons. My wife Sherene, a native of Jamaica, and I are missionaries who currently reside in Peppin County, WI

We would like to request help for funds for her family, church (Beecher Town SDA), and community who are suffering from lack of food, water, electricity, and other important resources due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa.

We are reaching out to the masses asking that you would send whatever you can so that we can get funds to them ASAP to aid them with being able to buy food. Unfortunately, since the storm, and due to the electricity outage, only canned goods and some other unperishables are all they're able to buy, which have been marked up in price greatly. Something we have no control over, sadly. So we are just trying to send them emergency funds for now as they come in so that they're able to get what's available for food.

We hope to eventually put together a few barrels of food to send there as well. But this process takes far too long to get there due to the time it will take to fill them with the food donations, and the sending process could take up to a month.
