On Monday September 9, 2019 the Sheraden United Methodist Church suffered a devastating fire which caused extensive damage to the 130 year old building. The building structure is unsafe and has to be demolished and rebuilt.
The church is more than just a place of worship for the Sheraden members. It has a large involvement for many community activities.
A few activities that serve the Sheraden community are:
⦁Kidz Klub for local children ages 6-16
⦁Monthly Free Community Dinners
⦁Monthly Thrift Store
⦁Free summer lunch program for children in the area
⦁Altar of God Ministries
⦁Kiwanis Club of Sheraden
⦁AKTION Club
⦁Langley High School Alumni Association
⦁Voting Poll Place
Your generous donations will be used to pay for items that are not covered under the church's insurance policy that are city/state requirements when rebuilding. These items include a sprinkler system, fire retardant insulation, and ADA requirements.
The donations are needed by February 2020.
SUMC takes pride in the Sheraden community and the church members and organizations want to continue serving God within the community.
