My name is Shera, and I am a mother fighting the hardest battle of my life- to bring my children home.

In September 2025, my children were removed from our home. As a mother with Fragile X Syndrome, I have always done everything in my power to care for my children who have special needs of their own. Raising children with complex medical and developmental needs is not easy, but it has always been my greatest purpose and my deepest joy.

Since the day they were taken, I have not stopped fighting. And I have the proof to show it.

My husband and I have fully completed both our parenting classes and our counseling services- individually and together. We did not give up. We did not cut corners. We finished what was asked of us because our children are worth every single step.

We continue to show up to every court date, every supervised visit, and every requirement placed on us. We are doing everything right. Now we need the community's help to keep going.

Due to this heart-wrenching experience, which has all but paralyzed us, the cost of transportation to and from, and the amount of legal fees paid thus far, we have now found ourselves having to climb out of the financial hole that this has all caused us.

The money will strictly go towards housing and fixing up the things in the house so it is safe & welcoming for the children, etc. the money will go to whatever our children will need such as beds,clothes, etc.

the money will also go towards whatever is required of us such as attending our visits, court hearings, legal fees, etc.
