My name is Shenita, and I am reaching out for support as I work toward graduating from college. I am currently facing a significant challenge: I need to pay my tuition in order to complete my degree and achieve a dream that I have worked so hard for.

This journey has not been easy. I have been living with Scleroderma, a systemic disease that affects my gastrointestinal system, respiratory system, joints, and many other parts of my body. Managing my health has been a daily struggle, but I have continued to push forward with my education. In addition to my health challenges, I have experienced the loss of my mother and, the following year, my sister who had a disability. These losses have been incredibly difficult, but they have also inspired me to keep going and make the most of every opportunity.

Receiving support through this fundraiser would relieve a tremendous amount of financial stress and allow me to focus on my studies. More than anything, graduating would be a meaningful accomplishment that I could share with my extended family, honoring the memory of my loved ones and showing that perseverance can lead to brighter days.
