Help Shelterwood Cove's Accessway

**I know, we have no photo... it's coming as soon as we can figure out how to upload it!**
We are Tyler, Allie, and Quoia (5), a family of three living, loving, and tending Shelterwood Cove, our property just outside Asheville, NC. Our dear friends Kaleb and Anne also call this place home.
Hurricane Helene transformed the lazy creek that flows under our driveway access into a raging river. The culvert/bridge was completely washed out leaving us with a deep and wide cavern and no way to get vehicle access into our home. While we’ve been able to get our vehicles roadside using ropes and pulleys, our cars are not able to pass back over and are precariously parked along the road which is concerning neighbors. Kaleb is significantly impacted as he uses a wheelchair and currently does not have a way to come and go across the creek on his own. Tyler now needs to haul tools and materials for his work across to his truck for his tree and carpentry jobs which are all currently directed at recovery efforts for others in the community. Beyond the challenges to daily living, we are unable to utilize our land for hosting classes which further undermines our income.
We are humbly asking for any financial support you are able to offer in support of replacing our culvert and rebuilding our driveway access. The most conservative estimates have priced our project at $20,000… which is pretty much all we have and an unsettling stretch for us. Any financial contribution you are able to offer will help us to rebuild this basic infrastructure. We recognize this is a time of great need for many and are truly grateful for whatever you feel inspired to offer us.
We encourage you to share our fundraiser with anyone else you know who might be willing or able to support.
If you are curious to hear more about how exactly your money would be used, the job details are as follows: removal of compromised culvert; rebuilding a foundation for the access way; replacement culvert; loads of rock, gravel and roadbond; and compensation for large machine operators and other labor.
Humbly and with Gratitude,
Tyler, Allie, Quoia, Kaleb, and Anne
