Today, I am reaching out for your support for a very special case that has touched my heart.

Klaus is a remarkable dog who has been in the shelter for three long years. He arrived as a wild and fearful Podenco, clearly longing for love but unsure how to seek it. Over time, with dedicated care, Klaus has become less fearful and now enjoys affection. An emotional moment was when he slept on my lap during a visit to my home, showing how much he has changed. Despite these advancements, Klaus needs a foster home to continue his development—fostering is a crucial step for anxious dogs on their journey to finding permanent homes. Unfortunately, despite extensive efforts, we have been unable to secure a foster family for him. I cannot adopt or foster him myself as he needs to be with at least one other confident dog.

However, there is hope. I've found a potential life-changing solution for him.

For €125 a month, Klaus can be welcomed into an exceptional sanctuary located here on the Costa del Sol. An experienced family, who fosters shelter dogs, is ready to integrate him into their stable pack. This opportunity will change everything for Klaus, providing him a life in the countryside within a calm and secure environment where he can continue to build his confidence and thrive in a stable group. This could truly be his chance to eventually find his forever home in 2025.

This is a unique situation, and without this chance, Klaus’s future looks hopeless; he would continue to live in fear and stress in the shelter, without any adoption inquiries. This is more than a call for help; it’s a plea to change Klaus’s fate.

I will of course contribute to this cost myself too, but I cannot do it alone. I also manage various other financial commitments for the shelter, but still, supporting Klaus is incredibly important for me. If a few more compassionate individuals could join me in supporting him until he is adopted, we can make this possible.
