Support Shelly Phelps in her fight against breast cancer.
Dear family, friends and kind supporters,
I’m Melissa, and Im reaching out to share this story of my loving sister, Shelly Phelps, who needs our help and support as she faces a challenging battle with triple-positive HER2 breast cancer.
Shelly, a devoted mother of three adult children and a compassionate nurse since 2005 has been a pillar of strength and care for her community in Webster and Siren, Wisconsin. Now it’s our turn to rally around her.
Early July Shelly noticed a mass on her right breast. She went into the doctor right away and received scans and biopsies. By mid July Shelly received the difficult diagnosis of triple-positive HER2 breast cancer, an aggressive form of the disease. She then had many appointments that followed, CTs, MRIs, blood tests, bone scans, oncology and surgeon. On August 22, 2025, Shelly is scheduled for a double mastectomy, a major step in her fight against breast cancer. Following the surgery, Shelly will need ongoing treatment, requiring her to travel an hour each way, at least three times a week. These treatments, combined with recovery time will place a significant physical, emotional, and financial burden on Shelly and her family.
As a nurse, Shelly has spent 20 years selflessly caring for others, offering comfort and hope to countless patients. Now she needs our support to focus on her healing without the added stress of mounting medical bills, travel expenses and time away from work.
We’ve set a fundraising goal of $20,000 to help with those expenses and ease the burden as she gets through these next steps and healing.
Every donation will make a difference, and your kind words, prayers and encouragement mean the world to Shelly and her family. Please send her your love and support and share Shelly’s story with others.
Shelly is a fighter, with her family and community by her side we know she can face this challenge with courage and hope to beat cancer.
With gratitude,
Melissa on behalf of my sister Shelly Phelps and her children; Taylor, Lilly and Madison.
