Help Shelly with warm home & kid's education fund

Hi, my name is Ray Bogle and I am fundraising for a wonderful mom, Shelly McGee. She was married to a very good friend of mine, Mark McGee. Mark passed away unexpectedly January 3, 2022. He was not able to work the last few months of his life.

 

Shelly and Mark moved to the North Carolina area (from Texas) for a fresh start and to be near Duke University. Their son Straun, is a beautiful special needs child, and Duke is one of the leading research universities doing research on his chromosomal issue. They also have a wonderful daughter named Mercy.

 

They found a cute little home in the country, and moved in, but the 70+ year home needed a lot of renovations (unsafe wiring, no heat, etc.) Mark was great at electrical, plumbing, and figuring out how to fix things, but they were not able to get central heat and AC installed.

 

Now Mark is gone, and my good friend Shelly needs our help.    Because of recent medical bills, funds are needed so that Shelly and the kids can make their home safe, warm and comfortable for this Winter.   

We would also like to set up an education fund for Mercy to pursue her dreams, and an education and services fund for Straun to help him get all the services he needs.

Anything you can donate will go directly toward end-of-life necessities for Mark, installing central heat and repairs for the home, and setting up an education fund for Mercy and Straun.
