Help Shelly Fitzsimmons Heal From Brain Aneursym
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Grace. One of my closest and dearest friends, Shelly Fitzsimmons, had an aneurysm burst while at work on Monday, November 22nd. She was taken from her personal training facility, Studio Fitness, to Sutter Regional Hostipial in Santa Rosa via ambulance. There, doctors determined Shelly was having a sub hemorrhagic stroke. They rushed her by helicopter from Santa Rosa to San Francisco. There a team of neurological doctors did a procedure on her brain to mitigate the bleeding aneurysm. Currently, Shelly has a drain in her brain and is in ICU at CPMC Stroke Center in San Francisco. Only a small percentage of people who have aneurysms that burst/bleed like this live…without impairment. While the road to recovery looks long for Shelly, she is infinity grateful to be alive! If all goes well in these next critical weeks, she is expected to recover fully from this medical event.
On November 28th, had another brain surgery to dilate vessels that are spamming because of the original bleed to prevent further ischemic strokes from happening. There are likely more of these procedures that will need to occur in the next few critical weeks post the initial bleed which is why she will be staying in ICU.
This event has put a great deal of stress on the whole family and the unimaginable amount of expenses is daunting. Due to the loss of income for both Shelly and her husband, Chris, and the various medical expenses (helicopter medevac, multiple ambulance rides, brain procedures, diagnostics, and medicines), the family could use your love and support. Shelly’s three children are without their mother during this holiday season. I am asking for your help in bringing some peace and comfort to Shelly and her family during this very difficult time in their lives.
I personally thank you and know the Fitzsimmons/Vomvolakis family thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
